Past

Leviathan or Rahab as he was called upon his creation was the first angel brought into existence. God had pulled his conscious from the nothing in which it dwelled, and he delighted at his new state of being. He joined his powers with God, and together the universe as it is now known slowly took form. The earth emerged within its mist. It was here that the first children of God was brought into being. God and Leviathan pulled them from the deep---that place of nothing that both God and Leviathan had once dwelled. They thought these creation like them would delight in the wonders and beauty that the universe and the world they were given to live upon just as much as God and Leviathan did. For upon this new world that would become earth they had also brought into being many animals, rivers, forest, mountains, desert and the sea. Which God named him lord of after seeing his fondness for it because the depth was a familiar and comforting presence to him.

However, these children of theirs did not share their love for things. They were cold, empty beings whom viewed the world as nothing more than a tool at the best. God believed that given time that they would see the beauty of the world and emotions will grow within them, but Leviathan knew different. He didn't know how or why, but when they were brought into being they were brought broken and nothing would change that. They could live upon the earth for eons and they would remain as cold and empty as they were now. He dreaded to think what would become of their world or the universe if they were allowed to flourish unchecked. Truth be told, the answer was revealing itself each day these beings were allow to continue living. They were turning the earth into an empty dead thing---a very reflection of their own souls.

It was than that Leviathan decided that it was best to wipe them from existence. He turned the entire earth into a vast roaring ocean, and these creations having no safe harbor from the waves perished. He thought that even if God had been upset by his decision he could convince her that it was the right course of action, but she would hear none of his explanation within her grief. She decided to chain him to the bottom of the ocean he loved and return to the heavens. He was overwhelmed with countless emotions--anger, betrayal and rejections being among them. It is unclear how long he stayed within the depth, but eventually he broke free of his chains and made his way to the surface to see what had become of the world above.

While he had chained beneath the waves God created two new children. The first were angels like Leviathan, but they were vastly different from him for their powers and essence came from the light and warmth instead of the nothing like Leviathan's had. God marveled at their growth. While these angels had the capability to misbehave it was clear they were not empty beings like her first children had been. The second were mankind, whom she hoped  would inhabit the earth, but unlike her first children she would not give them free reign of the world. She wished for them to learn and grow before being released upon the world. She believed that thrusting her first children upon the world is where she had went wrong the first time, or this seemed to Leviathan her reasoning.

If she asked him he would have told him that her first children had been born corrupt and there was nothing she could have done to change it, but he did not volunteer these thoughts. He believed she was still angry with him and would not wish to hear his opinion on the matter. She tried to keep angels from revealing too much to man, but angels were not as obedient to God's will as some might believe. One particular angel by the name of Samael delighted in being mischievous sought to teach man even through it was not what God had wished. It seemed that God had to directly forbid him from revealing any new secret to man, and Samael became enraged. He decided to convince Eve, whom he had an great fondness for, to eat from the tree of knowledge. Why? Only Samael knows.

Consuming from the tree of knowledge changed Adam and Eve. It made them aware in ways they had been incapable of before, and they felt shame for the first time. God knew whom was behind the plot, but she still punished man by banishing them from the Garden of Eden to the earth below. Truth be told, Leviathan wondered how this was a punishment when she have always intended them to inhabit the earth. She, also, decided that it was time to reveal man to all angels. She asked them to kneel before man, but one angel by the name of Lucifer refused. He made it clear he would not bow before beings he thought lesser than he no matter how many times God demanded it. God told him if he did not do as she ordered that she would cast him from heaven, and Lucifer told her that if she did he would raise a kingdom to rival even heaven itself. Thus the Great Rebellion of heaven started.

Instead of dealing with Lucifer's rebellion right than and there, God decided to travel to the earth. Perhaps, she believed that Lucifer just needed some time to cool off and that when she returned he would be more than willing to do as she commanded. Or perhaps, she thought making the earth, which was still a vast endless ocean, into a more suitable environment for mankind to thrive. Whatever the case, she went to earth and asked Leviathan to part the seas so humans would have a place to live. He was both still hurt over the fact she had chained up alone and that she deemed he was only worthy of visiting when she needed something from him thus he refused with two simple words---fuck you. In the end, God had to part the seas herself.

Leviathan retreated back into the depth and there he stayed while Lucifer's rebellion raged and mankind thrived and flourished upon the earth in ways that God's first children never had. Leviathan did not completely keep to the depth of the sea. He revealed his presence to man--especially when he believed they were abusing his oceans. During this time, the name Rahab became a long forgotten memory and he became known by many names including Leviathan. It was, also, during this time that Lucifer's rebellion within heaven was brought to an end. Lucifer was cast from the shining kingdom. There are those whom believed he should have been killed. However, for whatever reason he was cast from heaven instead of killed. Lucifer ended up falling to a realm even below earth. A realm called Hell, and from there he set his sight upon Earth.

He was not the only angel cast from heaven. Others had joined in Lucifer's rebellion including Samael, and they shared Lucifer's punishment. However, before Lucifer could claim the earth for his own he needed to set up his kingdom within hell. While he was doing this mankind flourished and grew upon the earth. God had decided to leave them to their own devices so they could grow without her direct influences and become what they were naturally meant to be. However, it would seem that the earth was not as empty of life as she believed. Perhaps, some of her first children survived Leviathan's great flood or perhaps during the creation of the universe and the earth as it became known, or even the creation of angels and man other beings came into existence.

Humans came to worship these others beings as Gods. It became clear to God that man were suffering underneath the rules of these Gods thus she made herself known to man. Slowly, over time man came to revere and worship God in the same manner they had all the deities which had reigned over them before God had revealed her existence to man. This did not set well with these Gods. They had came to enjoy their position of dominance over man. Some feared that they would cease to be if man did not worship them in the manner they had for many eons. Whatever their reasons, many decided to join Lucifer when he made his presence known to those on earth. The denizens of hell decided to convince man to join their ranks through the act of sins.

Their willingness to sin was their agreement to be bond to Lucifer's will as well as their rejection of God's. Lucifer clearly had the upper hand. It might been because Lucifer had his hell knights--warriors of almost unequal prowess. God decides to create her own knights to even out the battle field and while it did work it did not change things to her favor. The reason for this was because man found too much pleasure in the act of sinning. Leviathan watched these events with great amusement. He found great irony in the fact that Lucifer was trying to create an hierarchy much like Heavens, and for whatever reason he decided to join Lucifer. Perhaps, he believed Lucifer was going to win this war of heaven and hell, and thus wished to ensure he kept his dominion over the seas. Perhaps, it was his way of telling God he was still upset with her. Or perhaps, he did it simply because he found it amusing.

Present

Leviathan became one of the four princes of hell. He tends not to interject within the affair of man as long as they respect his oceans. In fact, he seems to behave in the exact same manner he had before he joined forces with Lucifer. There are those whom might believe that Lucifer should try to force him to take a more active role within the conflict between heaven and hell, but for whatever reason Lucifer leaves Leviathan to his own device. Perhaps, he believes that Leviathan verbal support is enough. He might see the mere act of Leviathan joining his ranks as the biggest fuck you to God imaginable. It might be that he fears Leviathan wrath, and believes that God chained him to the bottom of the sea because he is even more powerful than she. It might be that he knows Leviathan would simply do whatever he wished no matter how much Lucifer huffed and puffed at him.

The years drifted by, and Hell claimed more and more of the earth much to the displeasure of God. Than God found her way upon earth without her memory. How this came to be was anyone's guess. It might have been she sought to better understand humans better and thus decided to make herself like them. It might have been something happened within heaven and she was cast from it. It might be the universe way of telling them that the war between heaven and hell was coming to an end. Whatever the reason, she was now upon the earth without any knowledge of her true identity or any idea on how to use her powers. Leviathan knew of her presence upon the earth long before Lucifer discovered her. He had always been aware of her presence upon the earth. It might be because he was her true first born, or it might be that unlike the others he and she are made from the same cloth.

Yet, he is not aware of her currant state, or perhaps if he does have any inclination of it he doesn't realize that what it is. He does know she is currently staying with Lucifer, and he does find the entire thing to be perplexing, but he just passes it off as one of those weird things God does. He might even believe she decided to stay with Lucifer because she misses him. An idea that enrages him because Lucifer had been a fallen angel far less than the amount of time than he had been chained to the bottom of ocean. It might be she knows she is losing the war and wish to barter a deal with Lucifer to finally end the confrontation between heaven and hell. Through, he does doubt that one. He believes God is unwilling to admit defeat even if that was the case.
